Devon Yawl 2023 National Championships - Yealm YC - 3/4 June 2023
The Notice of Race and entry form for this year’s National Championship is HERE (MS-Word version for download HERE ). Launching starts on the evening of 2 June and the event itself will take place over 3-4 June.
Please enter early. There are two reasons for this. First, to ensure a viable event, we wish to secure an entry of no less than 15 boats by 5 May. If we do not, the event may be cancelled. Second, entries after 5 May will only be accepted on payment of an increased entry fee. All entry fees will be refundable if the event is cancelled or if you must withdraw for an unavoidable reason (bad weather is not an unavoidable reason!)
The entry fee this year is £50. We are sorry if this seems on the steep side. The DYA can no longer subsidise the event to the level it has in the last few years. In addition, costs (principally fuel for patrol and other craft) have gone up substantially. For your £50, you will get the usual package of help/tows launching, ferrying to and from your boat, harbour dues paid, 6 races (weather permitting) and use of the YYC for the duration of the event.
We hope to see many of you there!
